SohoJohnny proudly presents “A Rockin’ Holiday Soirée” benefiting The American Cancer Society on Saturday, December 14th, 5:00 pm to midnight, at the exotic Casa La Femme, 140 Charles Street in New York City. The celebrity supported celebration will include a dazzling cascade of live musical performances, with a Double Headlining bill, a full, decadent, alluring buffet, and dancing amidst an opulent ambience. 

Illustrious, golden hearted, host SohoJohnny will once again be sharing his passion for music while giving back to those in need, with an array of rockin’ guests and an elaborate who’s who presence. Don’t miss this intimate fundraiser where a portion of the proceeds of the evening will go to the American Cancer Society. “He who has Christmas in his heart will find it under the tree…..Peace on Earth will come to stay when we live Christmas everyday”….If SohoJohnny was a holiday it would have to be Christmas.”

The evening entertainment will feature the award winning, billboard charting band, “Leon & The Peoples”, led by multi-talented, superstar, actor, singer, and songwriter Leon Robinson, and Kim Sledge from “Sister Sledge”. Leon is best known for his starring role as David Ruffin in the movie, “The Temptations”, and his headlining parts in the films “The Five Heartbeats”, Cool Runnings, “Above the Rim”, and “Cliffhanger”, just to name a few. Leonalso starred in the Madonna video, “Like A Prayer..” The superlative, critically acclaimed faction headlined the Central Park Aids concert for two years consecutively as well as Change Fest for Social Justice in Chicago.

The iconic “Sister Sledge” is an epic vocal group achieving international success during the height of the disco era. The Grammy Award winning sisters had tremendous hits including, “We Are Family“, “Lost in Music” and “He’s the Greatest Dancer.” They secured global fame after working with world renowned producer Nile Rodgers. Sister Kim Sledge will be stealing the evening with her legendary song and remarkable stage presence. 

Celebrity journalist and New York City Nightlife legend Michael Musto will also take the stage. Former 30-year columnist for The Village Voice, and journalist for The NY Times, The Advocate, Paper Magazine, and currently for MTV’s NewNowNext, Musto is also known as an actor, author, television personality, and entertainer. 

Other performers include: The fabulous Donna Summers Classic Disco tribute artist, Rainere Martin, who takes her audience through a magical journey with the songs and feelings of the late, great artist. Stan “The Man” Hamptonis a mesmerizing old school R&B soul singer and Teddy Pendergrass tribute artist. Strafe Standard, an electro and old school hip-hop group known for the song “Set it Off.”  The 70’s and 80’s funky sounds of Debonair Casanova will also be included, featuring hits from the CommodoresThe Jackson 5, and Kool and the GangDesi and The Under Cover Band will be appearing as well. 

Look for celebrity appearances by Yuval David (Madame Secretary, Days of Our Lives), Jasson Finney (Daredevil, Hurricane Bianca, Imperium), Mickey Burns (Profiles with Mickey Burns) and many, many more.

Parking is available across the street at 139 Charles St. The venue is located minutes from the Christopher St. Transit stop accessible by the 1 & 2 subway lines, or 0.5 miles from the 9th St PATH transit stop.
